- Miroku's name means "grant/hapiness" (禄) (roku).

He is an elderly man wwith spiked hair and his eyebrows form a lightning bolt.

History[]
In the 1960s, he apprenticed under Miroku Kashiwaya the 4th, an authoritative figure of the Edo rakugo world. He developed a bond with Rokuen and Kisoba Kashiwaya- disciples of his senior fellow apprentice- Kiroku Kashiwaya. He even felt pity for them when his master did not allow them to perform on stage and admitted that his master's decision was cruel. At the same time he respected Kisoba's and Rokuen's determination and tried to suggest alternatives so that they could stay and advance in the rakugo world.
During his time as a trainee, Miroku used to spend time with his friends, Shiguma, Issho and Urara.
