Relationships Madoka: She trusts him a lot. Akane Osaki: Hikaru lost to Akane at the Karaku Cup, in part because Akane is technically not an amateur. She is set up as being one of Akane's two rivals for the "Karaku Cup" along with Karashi, with the three noted as being the favorites to win the cup. After being defeated by Akane, Hikaru has chosen Akane as her main target of rivalry, aspiration and affection. It is heavily implied that her feelings are romantic and of the homosexual variety.
