Hikaru Koragi (高こう良ら木ぎひかる, Kōragi Hikaru^?) is a supporting character of Akane-Banashi series. She is a popular voice actress who is currently famous for voicing a character in a popular magical girl anime, her role as Saruel in the anime Eden's Nova.

After the events of Karaku Cup Arc, she would enter the Arakawa School introducing herself as Hikaru Arakawa (阿あ良ら川かわひかる, Arakawa Hikaru^?).

Etymology

Real Name

• Hikaru's surname Koragi means "tall/high" (高) (kou), "good/virtuousr/espectable" (良) (ra) and "tree/wood" (木) (gi).

Her hair is white and her eyes are blue so many people think she is beautiful. She wears casual clothes. When she performs she wears a blue kimono with floral decorations.

Personality

Hikaru is a popular voice actress known for her work in a magical girl anime. Despite her success in voice acting, she feels insecure about being recognized only for her looks and association with a popular franchise. This motivates her to try her hand at rakugo and prove herself as a talented actor. Hikaru sees Akane as a rival and resents her for not being a true amateur in the Karaku Cup competition.

She dislikes his Fukuoka accent, deeming it "hillbilly". Has a dialect that she is trying to tone down in order to pass as a city girl. Due to her work as a voice actress, she usually acts calm in situations. She wants to prove that her popularity as coming do not come from her looks and being attached to a popular IP, instead, she wants to be recognized for her own skill and talent. Proving herself as a worthy actor is what makes her take up rakugo so she can be publicly recognized as one by a big name in the industry like Issho Arakawa. She has high standards for herself and tends to nitpick her own performance frequently.

Hikaru is a professional in acting so she implements her skills in her rakugo performances, these types of performances are usually called Theatrical Rakugo.

History

She used to live in Fukuoka, due to her parents' work, her brother took care of her, her brother used to watch anime all day so with nothing to do she used to watch it with him, however she would end up hooked on it, from that day on she would want to become a voice actress.

Currently she participates in the anime Eden's Nova for which she is recognized.

Upon getting a role in the anime Eden's Nova began to think that her fans only wanted her to be in a popular anime, so she would enter the Karaku Cup to test her skills.
