Gakumon Saito (斎藤学問, Saitō Gakumon) is a traditional art critic. He is a judge in the Arakawa School Selection Round alongside Ryujaku and Ikken.
Etymology[]
- Gakumon's name means "study/learning" (学) (gaku) and "question/problem" (問) (mon).
- Gakumon's lastname means "purification/worship" (斎) (sai) and "wisteria" (藤) (tou).
Appearance[]
Gakumon is an old person, he usually wears glasses and his hair is usually tied up.
Personality[]
Gakumon is a strict person, he tends to observe every aspect of the performances to see if it is done correctly. He usually has a lot of knowledge of the arts so he knows how something should be interpreted correctly.
In addition to this, he is usually a sincere person, so if he hates any aspect of the performance, he will say so.

Gakumon has been covering the arts for 50 years, which is why he is often respected in the entertainment industry and in rakugo.
