Yasaka-Tei (弥や栄さか亭てい Yasakatei?) is the 32nd chapter of the Akane-Banashi manga.

Summary[]

Akane begins to clean Shiguma's house due to her Zenza training, Guriko Arakawa calls her to wish her luck on her first day backstage, Guriko mentions that she is trying hard and explains that in the Arakawa school you can advance to the Futatsume having some requirements and that Kaisei Arakawa managed to reach the futatsume rank in two years, Akane gets excited and mentions that she will do her best to reach them, Guriko tells her that she will have to make an effort if she plans to do it and says goodbye to Akane while showing sadness in his face.

During her trip to the theater Akane remembers that Shiguma told her that since it was the first time she was going and without an invitation she had to go with a partner, so he gave her the number of a partner to help him, when arriving at the place Akane observes that her partner is Karashi Nerimaya, he explains that since he is an apprentice of Enso Sanmeitei he would be called Karashi Sanmeitei, he explains that he has been working in the backstage for a month so he has more experience as he makes him her superior, Akane laughs and tells him that she wants to work with him.

Karashi takes her to the Yasakatei which is a hall known for being the place where the most iconic rakugoka performed, Karashi takes Akane backstage so she can leave her things in the closet, at which point Akane sees a shadowy figure in the closet who turns out to be Unun Kenputei who was taking a nap in the closet, upon hearing this another person mentions that while Unun slept he had to do all of Tate's chores, Akane wonders what Tate is, to which Karashi mentions that Tate Zenza he is the leader of the zenzas who work in the backstage, he introduces himself as Asagao Konjakutei and wonders who the girl is, Akane introduces himself as a student from the Arakawa School, Asagao mentions that he knows about her due to the stir that caused the summer past and that she was the teenager that Issho Arakawa wanted to promote, Asagao mentions that his achievements as an amateur shouldn't matter when he turns professional, Asagao tells him that he does the s rules and that she knows her place.
