Summary[]
Akane Osaki, a young girl inspired by her father, Shinta Arakawa, a dedicated practitioner of rakugo—a traditional Japanese storytelling art. Shinta, performing under the stage name Arakawa Shinta, aspires to attain the prestigious rank of shin'uchi. However, during a critical promotion test, he and all other candidates are abruptly expelled from the Arakawa School by its head, Issho Arakawa. This expulsion effectively ends Shinta's career, as he can no longer perform under his stage name.
Witnessing her father's unjust treatment, Akane becomes determined to honor his legacy. She resolves to pursue rakugo herself, aiming to achieve the shin'uchi rank and restore her father honor. The chapter sets the stage for Akane's journey into the world of rakugo, highlighting her resolve to overcome the challenges ahead.
